It was revealed on June 17th that the Georgian government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Input Output Hong Kong (IOHK) to expand the use of blockchain technology for business, education and government services. 

The Georgian government has sought out blockchain technology to secure authentication of national university qualifications in higher education. Furthermore, blockchain technology will be used to secure and validate government records and Ministry services.
