Takasbank, Turkey's Istanbul Clearing, Settlement and Custody Bank, has officially launched its’s blockchain-based gold-backed transfer sysyetm, according to an announcement from the company.
The system known as BiGA Digital Gold is designed to provide banks with a blockchain-based system for the issuance, repayment and transfer of digitized gold. The project will allow participating banks to transfer digital assets that each represent a quantity of physical gold.
