The Open Payments Coalition has added new features to PayID, its universal payment ID network, to improve security and user experience, according to Decrypt. The network, which the coalition implemented in June of this year, aims to make transactions easier and more secure by issuing universal payment ID's to users.
The coalition's new features include end-to-end encryption, which increases security by ensuring that there is no third party interference in user transactions and warding off hackers. The coalition has also implemented a sandbox that allows new companies on the network to get used to its features. Additionally, new companies on PayID can benefit from Amazon Web Services's computing platform Lambda, which can integrate a company's server with PayID's and thus save the company money spent on maintaining two distinct servers.
