Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has put out a series of tweets criticizing the U.S. DOJ's release last Thursday concerning new regulations on cryptocurrency. Garlinghouse's main gripe is the inconsistency he finds among American regulators, and among the states, about what cryptocurrency is and how it should be regulated.

The CEO also states that the regulatory ambiguity in the U.S.'s treatment of cryptocurrency is akin to preferential treatment of Chinese technologies over American ones. This argument comes after Ripple announced last week that it might leave the U.S. in search of a more crypto-friendly country.
