San Francisco-based currency exchange network Ripple, which runs the XRP ecosystem, is now hiring a team of engineers to lead its new investment and development division. The division has been converted from Xpring to RippleX and will implement new programs in the hopes of expanding the use of XRP digital assets.

Aiming to develop interoperability between different payment platforms and currencies, RippleX will promote initiatives such as an Interledger Protocol and PayID. RippleX plans to prototype these new programs in the near future.
