Micree Zhan Ketuan, the ousted Bitmain Technologies Ltd. co-founder, has commenced a legal case in an attempt to regain his position, intensifying the fight for control of the world’s biggest miner of cryptocurrency.

The Great Simplicity Investment Corporation, company owned by Zhan, has filed a summons in December asking the Cayman Islands Court to overturn the shareholder decision which caused him to lose voting control.

Zhan also requested that the court invalidate a vote from the November extraordinary general meeting which restricted his rights to vote. Shareholders voted then to reduce Bitmain’s Class B shares from 10 to 1 vote per share, cutting Zhan’s influence, according to Bloomberg.
