According to Forbes, Matt Huang and Fred Ehrsam, founders of the famous crypto venture capital company Paradigm, put $400 million new-raised funds into Bitcoin in 2018 at a cost of less than $4,000. 

In October 2018, Harvard University, Stanford University, and Yale University Endowment Funds and Sequoia Capital jointly invest in Paradigm. It was reported that this is the first large-scale investment in cryptocurrency-focused funds by three top universities. So far, 13 of Paradigm’s 28 investments have raised or issued tokens at higher valuations. Matt Huang and Fred Ehrsam, former partners of Sequoia Capital and co-founders of Coinbase respectively, have a goal to bring cryptocurrency into finance's mainstream.
