Chinese internet giant Baidu has now released their own blockchain, dubbed Xuperchain, according to local reports.

The network utilizes a series of masternodes to run the network, which would imply that it isn’t decentralized. According to the whitepaper, the blockchain-based network can support over 10,000 transaction persecond.

The whitepaper also shows that Baidu has more than 50 patents for the blockchain platform.
