The crypto-friendly businesswoman who was sworn into the United States Senate on Jan. 6, joined the Senate Agriculture Committee, which oversees the CFTC. This appointment to the agriculture committee could possibly set up a conflict of interest as the new Senator’s husband is Jeffrey Sprecher, founder and CEO of Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), which happens to be one of the biggest U.S. exchange operators regulated by the CFTC.
