Ethereum developer Virgil Griffith has been indicted over allegations stemming from his conference appearance in North Korea back in April.

The grand jury charged Griffith with one count of conspiracy to violate the International Emergency Economic Powers Act. By not obtaining approval from the U.S. Treasury's Office of Foreign Asset Control before providing the Democratic People's Republic of Korea with his services, Griffith breached the prohibitions of the act. The document also states that at least one of Griffith’s alleged cohorts will be brought to New York and arrested.
