Major crypto exchange Binance has announced its investment of $1.25 million in Audius, a decentralized streaming protocol for audio content, as part of a recent extension round. Offering its stakable native token AUDIO and allowing token earners to further develop the protocol, Audius brings musical artists and listeners together in a decentralized community free of third party intervention.

By partnering with Audius, Binance hopes to further its mission of bringing cryptocurrency and blockchain technologies into more widespread use.
