DMG Blockchain Solutions, the Canadian tech company, has installed 1,000 new Bitcoin (BTC) mining machines in their Christina Lake mining-as-a-service facility in British Columbia, according to a Jan. 6 press release.

DMG purchased their new mining machines from Chinese mining giant Bitmain. The 1,000 new mining machines are expected to consume around 1.5 megawatts in total. Initially announced in December of last year, the new equipment is meant to serve a U.S.-based client, who’s name hasn’t been revealed.
