FTX, the cryptocurrency derivatives exchange, announced on Saturday that they have added Bitcoin (BTC) options trading to their platform.

Sam Bankman-Fried, the CEO of FTX, announced the addition of the options in a tweet yesterday. Bankman-Fried later claimed that day that the options trading volume on the exchange reached $1 million in about 2 hours. According to cryptocurrency data website CoinGecko, FTX is the eighth top cryptocurrency asset exchange based on volume, with over $277 million traded over the last 24 hours.
