CME group, the Chicago-based cryptocurrency exchange, has announced their highly anticipated Bitcoin options are now available for trading.

CME’s Bitcoin futures contracts became available around 10:00 A.M. EST Monday. Each contract, quoted in U.S. dollars, will be worth five Bitcoin and are cleared centrally in order to avoid counterparty risk. CME will utilize trade flow data from multiple large Bitcoin exchanges in order to accurately track Bitcoin’s price.
