14 out of 25 decentralized exchanges score lowly when evaluated based on cybersecurity, a recent report from cybersecurity ranking and certification platform CER has found.

CER's evaluation criteria considered whether a DEX underwent a security audit, the availability of bug bounties, and if it had proper SSL/TLS certificates. Any score below a 6 is deemed unsafe by CER.

Only two DEXs, Uniswap and Synthetix, received a high score according to CER's cybersecurity criteria. The report highlighted that 6 DEXs failed to pass a security audit or did not publicly announce that they had undergone an audit. The report added that DEX users are more at risk from fraud than from hacks.
