Swiss bank Gazprombank has just received authorization from the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority (FINMA) to offer Bitcoin (BTC) to clients, according to a release yesterday. Clients will be able to buy and sell BTC through the bank with low counterparty risk as well as keep their BTC assets in reliable custody with the bank.
Gazprombank considers FINMA's approval of crypto services a significant accomplishment and hopes to offer other cryptocurrencies and crypto services in the future.
