Expert panelists from CNBC predict that U.S. dollar will become digitized on the account that other global currencies will be digital. The question stands how Bitcoin will remain a store of value.
If taken into rational consideration, according to CNBC panelist, the US should follow China in how they are tokenizing their currency. There will not be a competition between digital and non-digital currencies because all currencies will become digital; there will be a competition on monetary policy. If China were to have a digital Yuan and the United States does not have a digital currency, it will be much more accessible for people to buy the Chinese Yuan around the world.
In regards to Bitcoin, the panelists agreed that the transition will be slow but the people are going to opt for a currency that is not manipulated, seizable, censorable, or debase-able by the government.
