According to the update of the ETH2.0 GitHub, the deposit contract of Ethereum 2.0 goes live, the contract acts as a bridge between the upcoming Proof of Stake (PoS) blockchain and the current Proof of Work (PoW) mainchain. The GitHub file also shows that the launch date of Eth 2.0 Genesis has been set on December 1, which was previously January 3, the 12th anniversary of the Bitcoin network.
