Konya has sanctioned steps to issue its own native cryptocurrency project, City Coin; success in this project will make Konya, one of the first regions in the world to have it’s own cryptocurrency. 

Officials believe cryptocurrency will assist the municipality to conduct their duties seamlessly like collecting tax payments. More details are expected to come in an upcoming conference that will be held later this year, according to insidebitcoins.
