Digital Garage and Japanese investment and securities giant Daiwa Securities announced today that they will work together to set up a fund worth about 12.5 billion yen ($110 million). The fund will be used to invest in emerging companies with next-generation technological advantages, such as domestic and foreign startups that target technologies in blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI) and biotechnology. DG Daiwa Ventures, co-founded by the two companies, will be qualified to manage the fund.
