The Nigerian Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) today stated that Nigeria’s financial services industry is capable of attracting approximately US$10 billion to the country’s economy through the appropriate deployment of blockchain technology.

Inuwa Kashifu Inuwa, Director-General of NITDA, said, "Considering our young population and our strategic position in Africa, we are studying how to get 6 billion to 10 billion US dollars from blockchain technology by 2030."
