Data from the monitoring website 1ML.com confirms that Lightning Networks today has the highest active nodes, channels and overall transaction capacity since its creation. According to 1ML.com, there are currently 6048 reachable nodes and nearly 25,000 channels, and the total capacity has reached 660 BTC ($2.39 million). The goal of the Lightning Network is to allow large amounts of Bitcoin transactions to happen in real time with little or no cost.
