A criminal complaint against ex-chairwoman and other associates was filed by Meijo Gakuin Educational Corporation. The allegation accuses the former chairwoman from Osaka University of Tourism of misusing operating funds to invest in cryptocurrency. 

The investigation's results will be released by the institution soon, Meijo Gakuin issued a subsidy of 130 million yen from Japan's Ministry of Education, Sports, Culture, Science and Technology in 2018. According to FXStreet, there is a request for an explanation of the status of the subsidy funds.
