Anheuser-Busch InBev, the multinational drink and brewing company behind Budweiser, is utilizing their blockchain to aid local African farmers in proving their income, according to a report from Yahoo Finance on Jan. 21.

The blockchain-based system was developed in collaboration with BanQu and is designed to tracks all the local suppliers of Anheuser-Busch InBev, replacing the paper trail.

The system will track all the local farmers that supply barley and malt to Anheuser-Busch InBev. Which allows them to prove their income to local banks, and thus open bank accounts and lines of credit.
