BitPay, a leading provider of Bitcoin and cryptocurrency payment services, announced they have added support for XRP as well as the release of XRP payments and cross-border transfers.

While rumors began circulating on Monday that BitPay had added support for XRP, today the company officially announced that it had worked with Ripple’s developer platform Xpring to complete the integration. E-commerce site eGifter is set to become one of the first merchants that will take XRP as payment, although technical implementation is still pending.
