Anchorage, an encrypted hosting service provider, announced that it has obtained SOC 1 Type 1 certification from Big 4 auditor company Ernst & Young, proving its financial reporting and operational control measures are sufficiently secure.

SOC 1 Type 1 is granted after an independent third-party audit company has reviewed the internal systems and control conditions reflected in the customer's financial reports, as well as the exclusive control audit of the private key. Anchorage states that it will continue to cooperate with EY to complete the Type 2 evaluation.
