Shapeshift, a crypto exchange which enables users to self-custody their assets, has delisted privacy coin Zcash, as reported by Coindesk.

The removal comes one week after privacy coins Monero and Dash were also removed from the platform. Veronica McGregor, ShapeShift’s chief legal officer, told Coindesk the privacy coins were removed over regulatory concerns and to protect the company from potential liabilities.

Shapeshift once had a reputation has a more free and private exchange. For a period the exchange did not require users to create any kind of account or login and in 2019 it faced uproar after a Wall Street Journal report alleged it had widely been used for money laundering.
