The World Economic Forum (WEF) unveiled what it claims to be the world’s first global consortium committed to creating a framework for the transnational governance of digital currencies, as well as stablecoins.

In a press release WEF revealed that the Global Consortium for Digital Currency Governance is going to concentrate on the development of interoperable, transparent and inclusive policy approaches to regulating the digital currency space and fostering public-private collaboration in both developed and emerging economies.
