Peninsula Visa, a 45-year-old visa service company in the United States, announced that it allows customers to pay by Bitcoin for certain passport services, like passport renewal, name change, etc. Other services will also be available in the next 12 months. Peninsula uses Coinbase Commerce as a secure processing program for Bitcoin transactions. 

Evan James, Chief Operating Officer at Peninsula Visa adds: "Never before has anyone been able to pay for a U.S. passport using a digital currency. We're thrilled to be the first company in the nation offering this alternative payment method to our valued customers."
