The semi-annual Bitcoin Cash (BCH) hard fork will take place on November 15. The update includes a new controversial "Coinbase rule" that requires 8% of mined BCH redistributed to Bitcoin ABC, so the developers are funded by the Bitcoin Cash network as a means of financing protocol development.

Roger Ver, a BCH advocator and Bitcoin.com founder,  says in an interview with Coindesk that he is not optimistic about this new rule. He believes that as BCH is an open-source protocol, developers should help improve the agreement on a voluntary basis, and fundings cannot from the BCH network, he adds: "so it is really a big problem to have these contentious hard forks. I’d like to see that come to an end.”
