Ripple partner SBI Holdings to collaborate with Japan’s SMBC

Summary: Japan's financial institution, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) recently partnered with SBI Holdings to create a Blockchain financial service platform, reports ambcrypto.  To reduce operational costs, SBI holdings partnered with Fukushima Bank to use Ripple's MoneyTap. Japan's financial institution, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) recently partnered with SBI Holdings to create a Blockchain financial service platform, reports ambcrypto. 

To reduce operational costs, SBI holdings partnered with Fukushima Bank to use Ripple's MoneyTap. Further reports state the SMBC will be investing in R3's Corda platform in Japan as well.
