President Donald Trump has picked Judy Shelton to replace current Fed Chairman, Jerome Powell, if Trump is reelected.

Judy Shelton, Trumps current economic advisor, believes in a rules-based approach and a cryptocurrency-like gold standard. Shelton stated in an interview with Investing News Network, that the country should adopt a gold standard in a “cryptocurrency type of way.” Shelton feels that a blockchain based system would make sure that “everyone is playing on a level monetary playing field” while also making the entire process transparent.
