Cryptocurrencies is known as a decentralized world, however the community wanting to expand to a global level leads to an argument that centralization will set in, reports ambcrypto. ETC Developer, Donald McIntyre spoke about a permissionless fallacy meaning "anything can be done, even if it undermines permissionless."

To expand, McIntyre explained that free markets, agreements, money, and property need underlying systems "permissionless-ness" and since blockchains are permissionless, anything that undermines "permissionless-ness" must be stopped. McIntyre believes Ethereum 2.0 will be the only permissionless, minimized, and immutable proof of work smart contract to exist.
