According to an official press release of the Australian Border Force (ABF), in response to the bilateral digital economy agreement between Australia and Singapore, ABF is developing blockchain-based solutions to streamline cross-border trade for Australian companies and achieve paperless transactions. 

ABI has conducted a trial with Singapore Customs and Singapore Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA)  to test the digital verification system, it is the first test system developed by Australian and Singaporean experts using blockchain technology at the United Nations Center for Trade Facilitation and Electronic Commerce (UN/CEFACT).
