According to Washington Examiner, earlier this month, US National Intelligence Director John Ratcliffe sent an email to the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Jay Clayton, stating that China’s dominance of crypto mining and its progress of digital RMB has surpassed the United States. 

In addition, a senior intelligence official also told the Washington Examiner: "there are serious national security concerns about China’s control over Bitcoin and Ether", which will cause American companies or innovative companies to lose their competitiveness, may challenge the dollar's position in international trade.
