Libra Networks Taps Former OCC Prosecutor Saumya Bhavsar As General Counsel

Saumya Bhavsar, former senior attorney in the Enforcement and Compliance division at the US Department of Treasury’s Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and Managing Director of Credit Suisse has joined Libra Networks as the general counsel, it was announced on their blog Wednesday.

Libra Networks is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Libra Association and is responsible for the operation of the Libra payment system. According to the announcement, Bhavsar has two decades of leadership experience, her deep expertise in laws, regulations in both public and private sectors will back the innovation and operation of Libra Networks.
