Residents of Abkhazia, Russia, resisted crypto mining activities without informing the law enforcement authorities. Residents have closed all mines and launched rallies. Similar situations may occur in other villages and cities. It is reported that mining has caused many residents to be powered off for several hours, and two-hour shutdowns across the region are now common. In October this year, the Russian Abkhaz Provincial Government lifted the ban on cryptocurrency mining.
