Coinbase issued an official announcement stating that it will provide support for the launch of the Ethereum Beacon Chain on December 1. Coinbase customers will be able to convert ETH in their Coinbase account to ETH2 and receive staking rewards. Even though the staked ETH2 tokens are locked in the beacon chain, Coinbase will enable all other supported currencies to provide liquidity for customers. Coinbase did not disclose the specific date of these services, saying "will be launched in eligible jurisdictions starting in early 2021."
