Tether, the leading stablecoin operator, has now released its U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin USDT on the Algorand proof-of-stake (PoS) blockchain, according to a press release.

On Monday, Tether announced that USDT on Algorand would feature confirmation in as fast as four seconds and transaction fees of a fraction of a percent. USDT is now the first and only stablecoin to have launched on Algorand’s blockchain.
