To highlight Bitcoin's lightning network, members of the audience used QR codes to pay developers what they wanted to win, this cannot be done with traditional Visa or PayPal payments since the payments aren’t tiny or fast. Zebedee states that game revenues are restricted to advertising and in app purchases, but with this new in game economy lightening payments can be added to beta product.
