The Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the tax collection agency of the U.S. government, has decided to remove ether (ETH) and two gaming tokens, Fortnite’s V-bucks and Roblox’s Robux, as instances of convertible virtual currencies.

According to a report from Bloomberg Tax, this change took place on Wednesday. Now the IRS’ section on virtual currencies only lists bitcoin (BTC) as an example.
