According to an official announcement, Jack Dorsey's Square announced today that it will achieve net-zero carbon emissions from operations by 2030, it also plans to invest $10 million to launch the Bitcoin Clean Energy Investment Initiative, which aims to support companies that promote the adoption of renewable energy and improve efficiency in the Bitcoin ecosystem. 

Jack Dorsey, Square's co-founder and CEO said: "We believe that cryptocurrency will eventually be powered completely by clean power, eliminating its carbon footprint and driving adoption of renewables globally".
