A tamagochi-inspired game called Aavegotchi is launching in full on January 4, according to a recent announcement.

The project was initially funded by an ecosystem grant from DeFi protocol Aave and is being developed by Singapore-based Pixelcraft Studios. The non-fungible token based game is also holding a raffle to reward early adopters ahead of the mainnet launch.

Each NFT Aavegotchi is an avatar that represents DeFi collateral that is earning yield on Aave. Owner can liquidate the underlying stake at any time.
