Denis Beau, the first deputy governor of the Central Bank of France, emphasized at the 2020 Paris Blockchain Week Summit that the CBDC trials may require adjustments to the regulatory framework. He mentioned that there will be eight experiments related to CBDC, the subjects cover from the public sector's works to private ones' participations. Beau said in his speech: "In turn, these experiments will lead us to assess whether the regulatory framework currently in force needs to be adapted since we are carrying out these experiments within the current legal framework."
