Juventus, one of the top Italian soccer team clubs, will be launching their own digital collectibles of its star players on blockchain-enabled fantasy football platform Sorare.

The newly signed licensing deal, announced on Wednesday, will see Juventus offer digitally rare collectible "cards of some of their most famous players such as Cristiano Ronaldo on Sorare.

The Paris-based Sorare provides a soccer team management game with digital cards, created using Ethereum tech, that fans can collect and trade. The cards represent non-fungible tokens (NFTs) based on ethereum's ERC-721 standard.
