The U.S. Marshals Service auctioned off more than 4,000 Bitcoins (BTC) to two winning bidders, according to a spokesperson with the agency.

On Feb. 18, the Marshals put up 4,040.54069820 Bitcoins, which at the time of writing is worth around $39 million. There were four separate lots up for auction that featured 2,500 BTC, 1,000 BTC, 500 BTC, and 40.54069820 BTC.
