Ledger will not reimburse customers who had their personal data leaked online, CEO Pascal Gauthier told DeCrypt in an interview today.
Earlier this year a hacker breached Ledger's marketing database, gaining access to customers information which they chose to release publicly on Sunday, December 20.  Ledger estimates that a portion of 270,000 users have had their names, delivery addresses and telephone numbers posted online.

Gauthier told DeCrypt that reimbursing users would not be practical for the company, but that leadership is looking to the future by investing time and money into the next layer of security.

Since the leak, Ledger customers have begun receiving emails from individuals threatening to come to their homes and steal their cryptocurrencies if they don't pay a ransom.
