Tidal Finance, a Polkadot-based DeFi insurance startup announced that it has completed a seed round of $1.95 million. The European-based digital asset company KR1 led the investment. Other participants include NGC Ventures, Kenetic Capital, Genesis Block, etc.

Tidal allows users to create custom insurance pools for not only one asset. By rewarding pool creators with part of their deposits, Tidal's open market will greatly increase capital efficiency by promoting competition between different pools of funds to attract liquidity contributors, and highly competitive premiums can attract more insurance buyers.
