Marathon Patent Group (MARA), one of the largest Bitcoin mining companies in North America, announced that it has signed a contract with Bitmain to purchase 70,000 Antminer S19 ASIC miners at a price of $170 million. The first 7,000 units are expected to arrive in July 2021, and the handover will be completed in December 2021.

Merrick Okamoto, Chairman and CEO of MARA, said: "This purchase is the largest order in dollar terms as well as the single largest order for S-19 ASIC miners that Bitmain has ever received."
