In a notice filed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday, the regulator refused to approve BOX Exchange Inc's rule changes aimed at providing blockchain-based stock trading reporting. The proposal aims to allow National Market System (NMS) stocks to use BOX's blockchain trading venue, the Boston Securities Token Exchange (BSTX). BOX originally submitted the proposal on February 28, and later added many changes. It is reported that the exchange is a joint venture with tZero and started to participate in blockchain-based STO in 2018.
